Recruitment Management
New Enhancements Release Summary
Enhancements
HR Master Data in recruiting Management
Support effective dated Foundation/Generic objects in job requisition and offer approval.
- It is now possible to create a job requisition and offer with fields whose values are currently inactive but would become active on the future date .
Prerequisites
Provisioning : Foundation objects , Generic objects.
Admin : Manage Recruiting setting >Generic Object / Foundation Object(GO/FO) field types
Allow users to select only those instances that are active as of the date in the Job Start Date field in the Job Requisition and Offer Detail pages
Enhanced Background Check
SuccessFactors Recruiting Management customers can now integrate with custom background check vendors, outside of the standard First Advantage and Verifications, Inc. integrations.
We have at least three options (and the combinations of the three) to benefit from this, enhanced functionality. – First, they can use one, custom background check vendor of their choice within the enhanced standard SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting
The Fiori updates can be enabled using the Fiori User Experience 2016 upgrade in the Upgrade Center.
Manage Template – Support FO/GO Configuration Admin opt-in
Admin Users can now configure fields of type “object” in the Job Requisition and Offer Detail
Templates when using the Manage Templates tool.
Clients now have full control in maintaining Foundation/Generic Object fields types in the Requisition and Offer Detail Templates.
Activation of Manage Templates for Recruiting Manage Templates feature is available in the Upgrade Center as a Recommended Upgrade. You must have the Manage Recruiting Settings permission in order to see the Manage Recruiting Templates in the Upgrade Center.
Agency User can set the Candidate Visibility
- The ability for an Agency User to set the Candidate visibility options during the manual Add Candidate action.
An Agency User can now set the Candidate’s visibility options during the manual Add Candidate action.
- Provisioning: Managing Recruiting > Edit Candidate Privacy Options > Allow agency users with appropriate add candidate permissions to set external candidate visibility upon manually adding a candidate
Applicant Status system statuses have the Visible To permission Settings
The system statuses Auto Disqualified, Requisition Closed and Hired on Other Requisition now have the options to
- Hide the status from users who don’t have application status Visible To privilege
- Hide applicant count from the users who don’t have application status Visible To privilege statuses
All application statuses now have uniform behavior.
SMS Opt-Out via Mobile Universal
SMS opt-out via Mobile support for North America
Candidates are allowed to text ‘STOP’ to opt-out of receiving SMS text in North America. This puts their mobile number on a ‘blacklist’. With this change, if the candidate is on the blacklist, Recruiting system will update their candidate profile to be opted-out of SMS when trying to send text to candidate.
Candidate Profile synchronized via RBP permissions
If RBP is enabled, Candidate Profile fields which are synchronized to Employee Profile (sm-mapped) will follow the RBP permissions instead of Succession Data Model permissions when changing field values
This will resolve inconsistency between Employee Profile and Candidate Profile for the fields that get synchronized: In the past, when Role Based Permissions (RBP) was enabled, Employee Profile checked RBP, whereas Candidate Profile checked Succession Data Model (SDM) to determine write permissiona
Extensions to RCM Audit Trail Universal / Minor / Enhancement Code: RCM-37331
More events have been added to the audit trail:
creation of a candidate profile (single record, changes are logged at field level)
changes to fields due to a candidate conversion/deconversion (from external candidate to internal candidate and vice versa)
changes to background elements of the candidate profile
system status changes of an application (open/closed from consideration).
Also the saving of an offer letter (as draft or final) is now logged as well.
Reassign Offer Approvals Admin opt-in
“Reassign Offer Approvals“ (Admin Center → Recruiting → Reassign Offer Approvals) that admins can use to reassign active Offer Approvals to a different user.
Note that we can only reassign the user who is currently assigned to the Offer Approval workflow step.
Previously the Admin Center – Route Form tool was used in a way that the tool was not designed for. Meaning admin users could search forms associated with offer approvals and change the route attributes. However, as the tool was not designed for such a usage, inconsistencies occurred.

New Position Number column on Job Requisition List page Universal / Minor / Enhancement Code:
RCM-37696
- We can now choose to display the “Position Number” (also known as “Position ID”) information on the Job Requisition List page. This column is hidden by default, so we will need to opt-in to displaying it. – Note:
- -The column is independent from Position Management, meaning Position Management is not a prerequisite. – It is an existing field (POSITION_NUMBER) that is exposed on the job requisition summary page, meaning we are not
- introducing a new Position field into the functionality that is originating from the GO Position object.
- Before there was no “Position Number” column on the Job Requisition List page.
MDF Object & UI for CandidateProfileExtension
Recruiting now supports an MDF object, CandidateProfileExtension, which allows customers to add additional information to candidate profiles. Customers can define the fields on this object, and the information displays in the MDF Quick Card Candidate Relationship Information in the Candidate Profile. The MDF object allows customers to enter customer-specific candidate data that is not visible to the candidate.
- Customers are able to configure customer-specific fields – Customers are able to configure the label “Candidate Relationship Information”
- Recruiters will be able to add additional info to candidates that is not visible to candidates.
- Prerequisites Permissions for the CandidateProfileExtension MDF object are available via: User Permissions -> MDF Recruiting Permissions
- The trigger “Recruiting Manual Candidate Creation Notification” is available in Admin Center –> Recruiting –> Recruiting Email Triggers –> Candidate Category; it has been moved out of Admin Center –> E-Mail Notification Templates Setting to its new location.
