What is a Mail Adapter?

The mail adapter enables you to connect e-mail servers to the Integration Server or the Advanced Adapter Engine.
The receiver mail adapter converts XI messages to e-mails and uses the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) or the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) to transfer them to the e-mail server.

Steps Involved in Configuring Mail Adapter..

Step 1: Log in to the integration suite, and click on Monitor Artifacts.

Step 2: Go to manage security material and click on Security Material.

Step 3: After clicking on security material, click on Create and select User Credentials.

Step 4: After selecting the User Credentials from the drop-down, enter the User and Password.

Note: The password must be generated from the Gmail (app password).

The steps involved in the generation of app passwords are as follows.
Step 5: Log in to your Gmail account and click on Manage your Google Account.

Step 6: After clicking on manage your account click on security.

Step 7: Click on 2-Step Verification.

Step 8: After clicking on 2-Step verification, click on App Passwords.

Step 9: After clicking on app passwords give any name and click on Create.

Step 10: After giving the user and password click on Deploy.

Step 11: Now go to manage security and click on Connectivity Tests.

Step 12: After clicking on connectivity tests go to SMTP and give host and other details.

Step 13: After giving all the details, click on send and download the Certificate.

Step 14: Go to Manage Security and click on Keystore.

Step 15: After clicking on the Keystore, click on Add and select the Certificate.

Step 16: After selecting the certificate, select the file and click on add.

Step 17: Now go to design, select the package and Add an Integration Flow (i-Flow)

Step 18: In the i-flow, add a Content Modifier connecting to the Start Timer.

Step 19: Click on the content modifier and give the Message Body details.

Step 20: Connect the end message to the receiver via a Mail Adapter.

Step 21: Click on the mail adapter and enter the Connection details.

Step 22: Click on the adapter and enter Processing details.

Step 23: Click on Save and Deploy.

Step 24: An email will be sent to the end-user. The output is as follows
