You will not be able to enable the Course home on production environments
This release is only for online courses and multi release feature.
We have more features coming in the upcoming releases.
Feedback for this features can be provided on community and we recommend you do not open any customer support tickets.
Catalog UI Enhancements
We changed the display of cards in catalog search results to display better for customers who do NOT use Commerce features. Also, we now allow you to set the default catalog results for users. You can set their default to a card view or a list view. We have heard back from customers that there are not using rating, commerce and or hours because of which there is a lot of white space on the cards. So when they turn below configurations then the users will no longer see the white space If the you want to set default view on catalog, we have added a new configuration in catalog
Catalog search enabled with brackets in item ID
Admins can configure prefix characters to be ignored in single keyword searches to handle naming conventions in your course catalog. For example, you can configure the search to ignore a square brace: [. When users search for the string PM-GM, the search finds PM-GM but it also finds [PM-GM. If you use character conventions in your learning items, add the characters to the search configuration. Customers have various special characters as prefixes to their Item ID’s which are irrelevant to how the user searches for that ID. Since the Item ID search would not recognize a value that started with this common prefix character, we added this configuration to ignore such characters when the user does a single keyword search value.
User Exclusion List
You can exclude users from the Purge Deleted User Audit History automatic process. The process looks for users who have been deleted from the transactional tables and deletes them from the audit tables. For most customers, user data is deleted from transactional tables by Data Retention Management (DRM) in SAP SuccessFactors platform, which handles exclusions. However if you have already deleted a native (Learning only) user and discover you need to retain their audit history (for example in the case of a legal or audit issue) you can add that user to the Exclusion List. Prevent permanent deletion of audit trails on an as-needed basis. Up to 100 users can be excluded from Purge at a time.
Quick Guide Supports Deletion of Author
When users are deleted from SAP SuccessFactors Learning, their Quick Guides remain in the system so that other users can still learn from the Quick Guides, but the users’ personal information is removed: they no longer appear as the author of the Quick Guide. Quick Guides can be retained even though the authors are purged from the system.
User Personal Information Report
Report can be generated that displays the personal information stored for a single user and its purpose. While BizX users can be included in this report, the report can be run from Learning in order to support users who are not maintained in BizX, including admins and instructors. This feature provides admins a way to generate a report that informs a user about the personal data stored in the LMS.
BizX Admin runs User Personal Data Report
Report can be generated by a BizX admin that displays the personal information stored in Learning for a single user and its purpose. To generate this report we added a connection to SAP SuccessFactors platform via an internal API. As part of this change, we made changes to Learning OData system. The change is currently internal, but the internal changes will reach the publicLearning OData APIs in the Q2 2018 release. As a result, you must update OLingo client library to 4.2.0-sap-04 (only for V4) by Q2 2018. This feature provides admins a way to generate a report that informs a user about the personal data stored in the LMS.
User Information Change Report
Report can be generated that displays the changes to personal information stored for a single user, and who made the changes. The report can also be run that shows all of the changes made by a person. While BizX users can be included in this report, the report can be run from Learning in order to support users who are not maintained in BizX, including admins and instructors. This feature provides admins a way to generate a report that informs a user about the changes made to their personal data stored in the LMS.
Gamification UI Enhancements
In Q4 2017, we updated the SAPUI5 components in the Learning Administrator Gamification pages to keep current with the UI libraries. Although the pages do not operate exactly as they did before this change, Learning Administrators can accomplish the same tasks. As part of this change, we updated the Learning Administrator help.
Learning: Mobile Enabled Content – iOS & Android
We have introduced a flag “Mobile Enabled Content” through which users can easily determine from the Item description in My Assignments and catalog searches which content is designed and enabled for Mobile It improves on the current user experience of launching the content to determine if it’s mobile enabled.
Learning: User Evaluation Surveys – iOS & Android
User evaluation surveys can now be accessed and completed from within ”My Assignments” on the mobile application. Currently, only User evaluation surveys are available on Mobile; Follow-up Surveys are on the roadmap and scheduled for end of this year. With this new functionality, users can complete more of their learning tasks from within their Mobile app.
Learning: User Evaluation Surveys – iOS & Android
Learning: E-Signatures – iOS & Android Users can now access and submit their E-Signatures for items that require an electronic signature. With this new functionality, users can complete more of their learning tasks from within their Mobile app.
Learning: E-Signatures – iOS & Android
Question ID length in library to be increased to 100 char
We have updated the question ID length for the Question Library questions to match the Question ID length of the legacy questions. Question Library is a part of Assessments. Previously, legacy questions had a length of 100 characters but Question Library IDs had a limit of 30 characters. Now, Question Library questions can also be 100 characters. The 30 character limit created issues for some customers when they brought legacy questions into Question Library. The workaround was to manually edit the question ID to shorten it. Customers with legacy questions should be able to bring in questions with question IDs longer than 30 characters.
OData APIs enhancements
We updated the service /public/user/curriculum-service/v1 to reduce the number of calls needed to retrieve data for all curricula assigned to a user. This enhancement affects two entities in the service: User Curriculum Statuses and Curriculum Item Details. In User Curriculum Statuses, if a curriculum ID is provided, the service returns the status of that curricula. If you do not provide a curriculum ID, then the service provides the status of all the curricula assigned to the user, including the completed ones. Curriculum Item Details can include the item details of the current curriculum, regardless of whether it is assigned or just available to the user. The existing curricula status API expects curricula id as input parameter that some customers find restrictive. No support for getting details of all the items in a given curricula which is available to the user in a single call.
Improve import tool performance
We improved the performance of our import tool (in System Admin > Tools). As part of the improved performance, we no longer allow adding and updating a record in the same import file. For example, you cannot add a user with ID jdoe and first name John and then, in the same import file, update jdoe to have the first name Jane. Improves performance of import tool.
You cannot review the course content from Learning History.
In this release, the course home does not end in the course completion page.
If you have configured cross-domain content for your courses so that you can launch cores from a different URL domain than your own, the courses do not work in Course Home in this release.

Accessing courses from outside Learning. If, for example, you launch a course from Succession Planning we do not expect course home to work.
Unauthenticated Users: In some Learning configurations, users can view courses without authenticating. If users are not authenticated, we do not expect course home to work.
Supervisor’s view of employee’s courses: Supervisors can look at their employees’ courses. We do not expect course home to work when supervisors are viewing employees’ learning.
Scenarios:
You cannot review the course content from Learning History.
In this release, the course home does not end in the course completion page.
If you have configured cross-domain content for your courses so that you can launch cores from a different URL domain than your own, the courses do not work in Course Home in this release.
Course Home- Reminder
On final Note:
You will not be able to enable the Course home on production environments

Views:

When users are deleted from SAP SuccessFactors Learning, their Quick Guides remain in the system so that other users can still learn from the Quick Guides, but the users’ personal information is removed: they no longer appear as the author of the Quick Guide.
